Felt a bit of a nuisance on arrival along with 4 other tourists because I had a walking aid. Believe me when I say no one wants to use such a device but if you have blood cancer and your determined that it should not stop you then I’d say to hospitality staff be a bit more understanding and less judgmental or refrain from Letting it show on your face. Luckily the dark haired waitress was a real joy she was wonderful and served us very well.
Having just left hospitality after 35 years service running hotels we understand how hard it becomes as we age. Swap staff around so everyone gets a turn as hostess. Everyone gets a chance to be refreshed.

Disappointed in this place. The oldest house of Bath is interesting and the place is cosy but the famous Bath buns are mediocre at best. We didn’t understand the hype. The service was kind but very slow even though the restaurant wasn’t full. Not our best choice!

Everything was very good except for one server who was incredibly rude. It took forever for him to serve us and his attitude was very rude and arrogant. When he got to our table, he didn’t say anything and stood there waiting for us to order. He eventually got our order wrong, but he kept defending himself without apologising.
I have to say, I have visited here various times and have had great experiences. This waiter alone does not represent this historical establishment nor his fellow hardworking colleagues but he definitely is a burden to the reputation of this establishment.

A male staff was incredibly unprofessional - no apologies after taking the wrong orders but just kept arguing with us!! Overall, quality food from the restaurant but disappointed service from the waiter.

Hmmmm.... I get the feeling this place is running off of nostalgia rather than quality of food. Went for dinner and ordered the pork trencher as part of the set meal. Wife had the chicken version. They were filling, but super bland. I would have been disappointed had I made this myself. Served with a side of totally unseasoned boiled veg. Even a whisper of butter or olive oil would have added something to this.
We didn't experience the day time and breakfast offer, which may well be much better, but I would suggest you try one of the very many other options available in Bath for a dinner.

يعني اذا مارين ، نزلو شوفو وصورو
جربنا الشاي و الخبز المشهور ، اخترنا نكهة السينابون
الخبز يشبه البريوش بس اكبر واخف
ويحطون فوقه الخليط بحسب اختياركم
الفاتورة كانت ١٦ باوند تقريباً

Go for the high tea, salmon to start then cream tea, on the iconic bun. A unique place.

很特別的麵包，現場氣氛很舒服適合聊天放鬆。一份麵包非常的大，如果可以的話兩個人吃一個也許會更合適。飲料也非常的好喝，而且沖泡的過程很講究，真不愧是英國的下午茶。但因為份量太多，我們就當成正餐在吃了。

Es un lugar muy agradable. Los bollos con mantequilla de canela están ricos pero hay que esperar bastante. Hicimos una merienda.

Привітний персонал, традиційні блюда,- багато хліба. Відвідати треба, але візьміть блюда з розділу гарячі. Суп тощо. На фото лише спробувати

£6 + service for half a bun and if you get the smaller top half you’re unlucky! Very overpriced. Nice atmosphere though.

Would like to give a special thank you to Frank who served us yesterday. He was very kind and even brought us a birthday cake slice for my partners birthday.
The English breakfast bun and Lemon curd bun were both great, nice to have drinks included too, and a very short wait at 10:30am and was seated straight away.
